I am delighted that you have either chosen to send your child(ren) to Lyng Hall, or are thinking about doing so! The changes that have taken place at Lyng Hall during the last five years have been widely recognised as transformational and we have recently been recognised, for the second year running, as one of the best specialist sports colleges in the country.
Our exam results are now routinely well above local and national expectations and in some key areas are exceeding the national average. We offer a really extensive range of subjects; in September some Year 10 girls will begin a new beauty course, studying aromatherapy, manicure, pedicure and massage etc. We do not allow children to fail courses, we move them to something else where they can succeed.
Last year 87% of our students achieved 5A*- C grades at GCSE with 49% achieving 5A*- C including English and Maths. For the third year running no student left Lyng Hall without a qualification.
We have twenty staff who work with children and families to help them overcome barriers to learning and they work closely with families to help them support their children’s success at school. We have staff who are trained Citizens Advice Bureau information assistants, these staff can provide information to parents on a whole range of issues that will help them.
As a Trust School we have a network of committed partners who work closely with us; our partners include Coventry Building Society, Coventry University, Henley College, Coventry Refugee Centre, Coventry Blaze and the Local Authority.
We offer a caring, adaptable and exciting experience for children based on strong, motivating relationships between staff and students. All children are supported to ensure that they succeed.
