A lot of pupils have no experience with the growing of plants or

the joy of eating your own produce. We are aiming to change

this as horticulture is essential in food production, in order to

achieve food security for the UK . Moreover, growing plants is

fun and educational. We started this initiative recently with a

sunflower growing competition and are now expanding this

with our own polytunnel and gardening equipment which

pupils will utilise to grow their own plants in school.
