UCAS and P18 Careers support
Our students achieve positive destinations. Lyng Hall provides excellent information, advice and guidance to young people from their first point of contact with us as they explore their post 16 study options right through to the completion of their studies and their future career paths. Students will receive individual advice and guidance via 1-1 guidance, specialist workshops, CV support, university applications support and maintain and develop links with employers and higher education institutions. Careers and employability are also embedded into the Personal Development programme which all learners follow, and through curriculum areas through a varied programme of delivered sessions, subject themes and incorporating trips and visits and enrichment events.
Higher Education Advice for Parents of Applicants
UCAS is the organisation that processes all full-time applications to UK universities and colleges. It is there to support you, as well as your child – through every step of the application process. UCAS sends all applicants a monthly newsletter, full of useful information, reminders, advice and competitions. Parents can also sign up to monthly parent newsletters. They contain timely information and advice about your child’s journey to higher education and what you can do to support them.
